Definition of Terms

Hair terminology may vary across suppliers. The definitions below reflect exactly how we use them at Imprite — so you always know what you're buying.

Virgin Hair

Virgin Hair

Sourced from a few donors and minimally processed. The hair retains its natural cuticle alignment, giving it a healthy appearance and feel. Found in our Standard and Vietnamese Premium Collections.

Raw Hair

Raw Hair

Sourced from a single unprocessed donor. The purest form of hair — completely natural. Found in our Vietnamese Premium Collection.

Note: Raw materials are used to create straight, wavy or curly patterns through gentle steam processing.

Fullness Grade

Single vs Double Drawn

"Drawn" refers to how many short hairs are removed from a bundle after collection. The more drawn the hair, the fuller and more uniform the bundle looks from root to tip.

Standard Grade

Single Drawn

SD

Extensions include a mix of lengths. Thickest at the top, tapering toward the ends.

Full-length hairs 50–60%
Bundle fullness Good
Premium Grade

Double Drawn

DD

Shorter hairs are removed. Most hairs aligned for a fuller, uniform appearance.

Same-length hairs 70–75%
Bundle fullness Very Full
Luxury Grade

Super Double Drawn

SDD

The finest grade. Almost all hairs match the stated length — most voluminous bundle.

Same-length hairs 80–90%
Bundle fullness Exceptional

In summary: DD and SDD bundles contain fewer shorter hairs, resulting in a fuller, longer-looking bundle where most hairs match the stated length.

Get It Right

Measuring Your Wig Length

Hair length is measured differently depending on the texture. Getting this right ensures you choose the correct length for your services or when ordering new hair.
